Pleasure State Chemise Choices for Fall/Winter 2011

Happy Monday Everybody! Can you believe it’s already October?

Pleasure State has made my Must Have Monday post incredibly difficult. I was really excited this week because I had narrowed down my choice to a brand, Pleasure State and a type of lingerie, Slip or Chemise. Uncharacteristically organized right? I was thinking it was fall and I would need to be adding some extra layers to my normal work clothes, and wouldn’t this be a great time to look at updating my slip selection.

I really thought I was ahead of the game… after all, they couldn’t offer that many chemises in their current collection so it would be simple to choose….

But then I forgot to contend with the fact that Pleasure State has four different lines and that I adore every single one of them.

They have the:

VIP Collection: Their fashion collection for busty women {Well, look at that. A luxury lingerie company that remembers that some of their customer base may be busty and actually designs for them. 32-38 DD-G!!!! It’s a flippin’ Silk and Lace miracle my friends!!!}

White Label Collection: Their diffusion range {Almost as phenomenal as the Couture Collection, beautiful lines, shapes and textures}

Couture Collection: Their signature collection {I LOVE,, LOVE LOOOOVE everything in this line… it just oozes decadence and luxury and everything beautiful, glitzy and glamorous in this world}

My Fit Collection: Featuring the latest in push-up technology {Being of the incredibly busty variety… I generally don’t go for anything in this line. However, it is lovely and minimalist in its designs}

Now that we know all about Pleasure State, let me introduce you to the grand contenders for today’s Must Have Monday post.

First up we have the Fractal Chemise from the VIP Collection.

Stunning right? I don’t have a bad thing to say about this. Obviously it isn’t a thermal and won’t keep me super warm, but as an extra smoothing layer it could really go the distance. Not to mention that it can play double duty as a sleep chemise and a slip. It’s almost a shame to keep something so beautiful hidden under layers.

Next up we have the Moonlight Chemise from the White Label Collection.

I’m actually not as taken with this one. While I love the neckline and I usually love lace peek-a-boo bits on a chemise, however, I don’t really like where these ones are placed. When I think sensual parts of the female body…the source of boob sweat generally isn’t my first choice.

Choice number three is the Empire Chemise in Buttermilk from the White Label Collection.

I love the colour of this one as well as the flexible stretchy mesh and lace design. It hugs the curves and shows off the female body in all its glory. This one really appeals to me. However, as an incredibly pasty person who wasn’t able to catch any rays of sun this summer, I think I would probably just look like a curvy ghost in it.

Last but certainly not least is the Tiara Babydoll from the Couture Collection.

Okay, fair enough, I limited myself to only slips and chemises and this one is a babydoll… total cheat… sorry. But just look at it! How stunning is that? I love everything about it, EVEN the bubble hemline which would normally make me want to puke and rant about the sexualization of infancy, however, it doesn’t look babyish at all does it? I adore this one. It totally wouldn’t work as a slip and it would be an absolute crime to hide this delicate masterpiece under anything…but I so totally want it!!!!

Let’s face it folks… sometimes lingerie isn’t about practicality or usefulness… sometimes, it’s just all about looking really slamming!
