Happy Totally Retro Tuesday Swimwear and Lingerie fans!
Today we have a spotlight on one of the great swimwear models of all time! The amazing Betty Brosmer, showing us all how to work a swimsuit for the camera.
Who’s Betty Brosmer? Seriously?
Aw c’mon…
Fine, according to Wikipedia… the not-very reliable source; “Betty Brosmer is an American former model born in Pasadena, California on August 2, 1935. She was a popular pin-up at the height of her career in the 1950s.”
“In 1961, she married Joe Weider, co-founder of the International Federation of BodyBuilders. Brosmer is the co-founder of Shape Magazine, a health and fitness publication for women and currently writes two magazine columns which appear in other health and fitness magazines.”
Isn’t she stunning? I wonder if any of the models down in Florida at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week-Swimwear down in Florida have that perfect hourglass figure? Don’t you just love her vintage swimsuit? How the heck does it stay up?
Cheers,
Maggie

Betty Brosmer had a fabulous figure. She is also one of the main influences of my photographic work.
I really like your blog too. It’s a great source of ideas for my various shoots. Keep up the good work and best wishes.
Love Betty Brosmer. The best shapely body ever created. Love vintage babes, they had it without evan trying. They did not have to be nude to look sexy.
